Great start to Sophia's room! It was so much fun putting together the crib and getting all of the accessories together. I've attached some pictures of Jay and I assembling the crib (mostly Jay) and also the semi-finished product (we still need to make the curtains and decorate the walls).
Jason and I making this room together has been such a wonderful experience. The adventures at the hardware store in a snow storm that lasted 20 minutes, several trips back to get just one mo

re gallon of paint, Emily being too exhausted and deciding to just have a seat on the counter of the very busy paint department, Jason repeatedly saying that "he'd like to meet the man that invented popcorn ceilings in a dark alley", picking out the bedding after searching through several stores and scouring the Internet, making sure the paint colors were "just right" not too pink and not too grown-up, checking to make sure our crib and mattress were safe enough for our little Sophie Jayne, and spending this time together bonding as a family, all with Wrigley surpervising bravely from the safe haven of our bedroom. This experience was such a wonderful bonding time for Jay and I and with every decision we made together, as I looked into my adoring husbands eyes who was equally as concerned that this be the right room for her; I fell in love with him over and over again. Seeing Jason smiling and pulling up in his old green truck, with Sophia's furniture in the back and him proudly taking it up stairs for his daughter, brought tears to my eyes and a gentle knowing that this is the life that I've always wanted and that we have both worked so hard for.
Here is the finished product, the wall colors in the pictures aren't exactly how they look in person, its more of a light pink with a milk chocolate warm brown on the bottom. Our love to you all!
