6 Weeks!

Oh my - how time flies! Sophia is growing and changing everyday! Its really amazing to see her changing so fast. Sometimes it seems that I just put her to bed for a nap and when she wakes up, something is different about her.

Sophia is smiling all the time now - I love it when we are playing and she looks over at me, recognizes me and smiles! Her first "just for me smile" was right after I fed her, she was so content and looked me in the eyes and had a huge open-mouth smile, we smiled back and forth and her smile grew even bigger. It was one of those moments I'll remember forever. She is seeing further away and loves looking at Wrigley, Daddy, and any of her many toys - especially the hanging ones. She is working on grabbing the hanging rings and is getting better at controlling her arms. She's getting more and more interactive and wants to play for longer periods of time. Her whole world is opening up for her, and its amazing to see.

She is also doing great with sleeping - she averages about 5-6 hours of sleep and then about 3-4 hours of sleep - we are starting to get a pattern established and its great! We are very fortunate. Typically we try for an 8pm bedtime and she'll have one feeding around 2am, then she'll sleep again until about 6am. It is wonderful! She is eating well, sleeping well and growing so fast! We are just about entirely out of newborn clothes and really wearing the 0-3 months. Although she is growing so fast, she's almost too tall for even some of those!
