Eleven Months!

We cannot believe how fast time is flying! Sophia just turned 11 months old last week, crazy! She is doing so much. Just yesterday, she figured out when she falls on her back – how to rollover and push herself to a seated position! She is moving around all the time. She is semi-crawling, it’s the cutest thing. She’ll scoot on her butt, sitting upright, with one leg back and one leg in front, pulling her along. She can move pretty quickly. I’d say she’s crawling, just not on all fours for now. Sophia is also getting really comfortable standing and playing with her toys. Every once in a while I see her thinking about reaching to something next to her to take a few steps towards it. I think that walking while holding onto furniture won’t be too far away.

We have been teething, poor little sweetie. She is getting FOUR top teeth all at once. She already has the two bottom front teeth – which gives her that adorable little smile. But now she is getting her front four teeth on the top, she has been having a rough few days while those are pushing through.

We celebrated her eleven months by buying new car seats and safety stuff. We have plugs in all the outlets (we had to get a special kind, she figured out how to get some of the plugs out of the wall already!) We are getting baby-proofed, but it’s a challenge to find time to stop chasing Sophia around and get those things done too. Sophia LOVES her new car seats, so much more room for her to look around and play. We are still rear-facing for a few more months, but she hasn’t seemed to mind that too much.

Sophia is a constant joy and wonder. She is learning and exploring so much! She loves the magnets on the fridge, today she was drumming the soup can that Mommy was taking to work. She loves her bananas as finger food now and has started liking mango too. She loves to play with electronics and get a hold of her Daddy’s guitar. She’s been known to hug a nervous Wrigley a few times and also really loves to hug her stuffed animals. She gives her Daddy and me hugs all the time and we love it!
