Climbing Stairs

Oh my goodness, Sophia is just growing by leaps and bounds. Last weekend, Sophia and I went up to Greeley to spend some time with my family. We all had a blast and Sophia figured out a new skill... With Pa behind her making sure she didn't slip, and Grammy encouraging her that she can do it - Sophia climbed 4 steps all by herself AND on her own initiative! She swung her leg high and got it up on the step and pulled so carefully to get her other leg on the stair. It was adorable. I wasn't there to see it, but Sophia showed me the next day - with a huge grin on her adorable face.

She has been doing so much. She says new words it seems like every day. One of my many favorites are the sweet hugs that she gives. We'll just be playing, she'll look over with a huge genuine smile and with one arm wraps it around my neck and lays her head on my chest. It is the most perfect hug and the most wonderful feeling. She also really likes to hug Wrigley, both Buddies and all of her stuffed animals (not to mention all of her amazing family!) She'll even sprint-crawl across the room, just to give our feet a hug. She is amazing and so sweet!

She is so busy playing and crawling, she often carries three toys with her, one in her mouth and one in each hand, as she spies something across the room that she wants and then she's off! She is particularly found of the phones, remote controls and shoes. She pretend talks on the phone now, its adorable. She also has length conversations in her language. I am quite sure that she is telling us the secret of life, or something very profound.
