17 Weeks!

These last few weeks have been nothing short of amazing. I am 99% sure that I felt the baby kick! I was sitting on the couch last week and I felt one kind of gentle "thump". Kind of like someone flicking me inside of my belly. I thought maybe that was it, or maybe it was umm....gas. But after another minute passed, no gas and another thump. I felt four distinct thumps in 4 different areas of my baby belly. It was amazing - Jason was sitting right next to me and I told him "I think I just felt the baby move!" He put his hand on my stomach, but of course even if the little turnip did kick at that moment, its too small to feel with you hands on the outside just yet. Last night I felt a very pronounced kick and so I think its safe to say I have definitely felt our baby move! Its a feeling that is so heart-warming and nothing short of amazing. I can't wait until the kicks become stronger, more frequent and when Jason can feel them too!
