Yesterday we had our latest checkup – mama and baby are doing just fine. Really, all we did was listen to the heartbeat – but wow, how that can melt your heart.
SwushsssSwushsssSwushsss… that’s pretty much what it sounds like.
Every time I hear that it simply takes my breath away. It puts my mind at ease that the baby did just fine through the stomach flu. The best part was that Jason got to operate the Doppler monitor! It was so cool – his eyes lit up like a kid at Christmas. When he found the heartbeat, he and I exchanged looks of being so proud and so amazed at the same time.
