Hello Second Trimester... Goodbye Nausea, Tiredness and Waistline

Whew, here we are sliding into the second trimester. We are at 15 weeks today, and I've officially been in the second trimester for a week now. Thank goodness! This nausea was driving me nuts! Its so frustrating to be super hungry and everything makes you sick to your stomach. However, my morning sickness did go out with a bang, I had the stomach flu a week ago and it was a rough time. I hadn't been that sick in a long time. However the nice doctors and nurses at urgent care (and of course my wonderful husband) took great care of me and I'm all better now. In fact, I'm pretty sure the pregnancy sickness is gone and I'm on to the next phase - the feel good phase! The exhaustion is getting much better too. I don't feel like taking three naps a day just to keep going, I'm down to one nap a day on the days that I don't work :) And I feel much more alert than I did the last three months. So physically, I am feeling much better - with the occasional back and hip muscle pain, but I think that's just the beginning of feeling my body change.

Speaking of body changes, I have found the most wonderful thing - maternity pants. Thanks to my wonderful cousin Ann, I have inherited a ton of great clothes that I can breathe in. No more buttons, the unpleasant muffin top, "sucking it in", and being uncomfortable. These new stretchy pants are the best thing! I have definitely started showing, so I'll attach some pictures of the last three months of the baby belly.

Jason is doing great too. He has been great with helping me through my pregnancy sickness, getting apple juice as quickly as possible and being extremely supportive. He has been at every doctors appointment and I am thankful to have such a wonderful husband. This will be one fantastic baby! Jason has also been doing a great job firefighting - he has had two house fires in the last week; one fire he was putting out the flames on the roof and the second fire he was pumping the water at the fire engine - way to go!!!
