It's a Girl!
Well, 32% of you guessed correctly - we will be welcoming in a beautiful baby girl in June! We had our ultrasound appointment yesterday and it was amazing. Seeing all four chambers of the heart beating was one of the most incredible moments of my life. We were able to see her brain, the vertebrae in her spine, her kidneys, her leg and arm bones and of course proof that she is indeed a girl. She was sitting cross-legged most of the time, and was waving at us with her long beautiful fingers. She really liked moving her fingers back and forth. Everything looked healthy and where it should be. Her heart rate was 140 bpm and she weighs 11 ounces (we are guessing that she is about 6 inches from head to rump). I'm really enjoying talking to her now and feeling those long legs stretch and kick. We'll post pictures tomorrow, but it is safe to say that we are both very excited to have a girl. Jason immediately went into protective Dad mode, and decided that he will need to buy a gun to scare off all the boys. I starting hoping that she won't get into as much trouble as I did in my early teenage years. Ah, the joys of expecting parents :)

CONGRATS!!! There are some strong female genes in that family...but how fun to have a bundle of girls that can grow up and cause their daddies lots of gray hairs! :)
