Getting Ready...

Although the doctor doesn't think she'll be here for at least another week (and neither do I) it has been really nice having this quiet time with just Jason, Wrigley and I. I'm trying my best not to be the super-scheduled person that I normally am, and just go with the flow. Soaking in this time in our lives and knowing that there is something great and exciting about to happen, but at the same time enjoying this chapter of our lives coming to a close.

Last weekend we did one big shopping spree to complete all of our lists and fill her room up with everything we think we need to bring her home. Jason did a great job of getting the cars ready and installing the car seats. Wrigley is going to have to learn how to share - that might be the hard part :)

Monday we pre-registered at the Hospital - that was a lot of fun. The lady at the hospital was lots of fun to talk to and very excited for us (her guess was June 22nd for Sophia to make her appearance). So now all we need to do, hospital-wise, is stroll in with my ID and some pretty painful contractions.

This weekend is all about relaxation. We have had a great time with family and friends and just taking it all in before we are all too focused on diapers, feedings and naps. Yesterday when Jay was at work, I had a prenatal massage that was wonderful. I am totally relaxed and spent the rest of the day napping, walking Wrigley and watched like 5 movies. It was great. I'm pretty sure I won't have another day like that until Sophia graduates from high school :) Today Jason is so kind to help me finish off my nesting lists. I'm usually not a clean freak, but for some reason the baseboards shining and the windows being spotless is a critical path item for Sophia to come home. :) I know its crazy, but Jason is such a wonderful and supportive husband - he's "helping" me clean the windows (i.e. doing it all by himself since I can't get on a ladder). He's been so good at seeing the crazy pregnant ideas coming his way and handling them with so much support and understanding.

After today, our house will be super-clean, we will pack our hospital bags tonight and we are officially ready for our Sophie to make her appearance. I can't wait to meet her, put an adorable tiny face to the personality I can already tell she has, to hold her and to see Jason fall in love with her from the second he holds her. What a little miracle she'll be!
