3 Weeks Old...

Our darling daughter is already three weeks old! I can not believe how quickly time is flying by already. Sophia is doing great and is very healthy - she has a very healthy appetite! She is almost out of the newborn diapers already, but is still fitting perfectly in her newborn clothes. It's funny, but for some reason changing to the next size of diaper is really bittersweet for me - it's just the start of her growing up.

She is growing and changing everyday. This week she has had lots of great visitors, been out to eat a couple of times (and thankfully slept through the whole meal - we are cherishing this while it lasts), been to Grammy and Grandpa Skalsky's house for the first visit and visited the fire station for the first time! Almost everyday we take her and Wrigley for walks and get out in the fresh air, when its not 90 degrees out.

She LOVES her activity mat, I think she is really starting to see the animals that hang above her and she swings her arms at them, sometimes even grabbing at the rings! Its very exciting. Even more exciting for us, is that she is starting to look at us and I think start recognizing our faces. She and I were playing a game of mimicking each others faces (i.e. sticking our tongue out, smiling, etc.) it was magical. Jason and I both believe that she has smiled at us - although she did pass gas right after, so that might have been it :) Nah, I believe its a sign of being happy and content.
