Our Big Date Out!

On Friday, Jason and I ventured out of the house for our first outing as a couple since Sophia's arrival. Grammy Skalsky came over to babysit (thank you Grammy!) and they were two comfortable peas in a pod. It was so reassuring to leave seeing Sophia nestled in Grammy's arms. Jason and I went out to see a movie, a matinee, and then come right home. Baby steps, right? At first it felt pretty comfortable to be out on a date, and it was really great to reconnect just the two of us. But it was funny to be away from Sophia, when the movie would get really loud, I found myself thinking that it was too loud and it would wake up Sophia. Towards the end of the movie, we couldn't wait to rush home to see her. It was a great first date out and we are so glad we were able to do it!
