One Month Checkup!

Sophia did very well at her one-month checkup yesterday! She was a trooper, and slept through most of the appointment, until she had to have her shots anyway :( But even then, she only cried (that really intense, break-your-heart) cry for about a minute then she was ok again and back to sleep. We love our pediatrician, she is fantastic and great to talk to and ask a ton of questions. She is great with Sophia and it was fun to talk about her progress so far. She did say that Sophia being able to grab the toy rings and bat at the hanging toys is advanced for her age, and we both beamed with pride!

Sophia is very healthy and is right on target with her growth, she is now 9 pounds 11.5 ounces and is 21-3/4 inches tall!! She is in the 90th percentile for her weight and the 80th percentile for her height. A very healthy bouncing baby girl! It was a relief to know that so far, Jason and I have survived the first month of parenting and that Sophia is thriving!
