Crackers, Chicken and Cutting Teeth!

Oh my, when Sophia decides to change, she doesn't mess around. This week has been a pretty big one for Sophia. Not only has she learned how to clap, scootch, and say Mama, but she is also trying new foods and cutting teeth!

Sophia tried chicken for the first time on Saturday, this was her initial reaction:

This is after we learned to mix the chicken with something else. She really liked it once it was mixed with the apples. I tried it again today with a chicken and sweet potato combo and that went over VERY well.

Today we introduced the snack crackers, those little teething rice crackers called "Mum Mums". She loved it, she liked the idea of chewing on something and getting somewhere. I also think she liked the sugar in it, she was really hyper after we had them.

And last but certainly not least, Sophia is cutting her first tooth! We saw it for the first time yesterday - its peeking through the bottom row, one of the front two teeth. I also feel three others almost on their way. She was really upset about her mouth pain yesterday, but the numbing gel and teething tablets really helped (plus lots of hugs and kisses from Mommy and Daddy!)
