Sophia said Daddy!!! Actually, she said it two weeks ago (I'm terribly behind on the blog). All of her new words she starts with mouthing them, but not actually using her voice. Then she starts with just one sound in a whisper, "
Dah" she says it over and over again. And then magically, she'll look up at you with the brightest look in her eyes and proudly pronounce "
Da-
da!". Jason was so excited he called me at work right away and was over-the-moon thrilled to hear her say his name! I was so happy too - our little angel is learning something new everyday!
Ever since, she always says "
da-
da" in the sweetest
whispery voice, with this innocent little smile (I'm sure that Jason is
already tightly wrapped around her tiny little finger :)) She whispers it, then gets a little louder, then smiles. However, as a stark contrast, she only really says Mama when she's upset - and yells "Ma-MA!" then she crinkles her nose. I love that too. She is so darn adorable. There is no better feeling than when your baby
yells your name and needs something, and then once you hold her she feels better. Heaven.
