30 Weeks

Oh my goodness, we are now in the 30's! This means that anytime between 7 to 10 weeks we could be having our sweet Sophia! We are so excited, but it seems to be coming so quickly now. Quickly because I think the work weeks fly by so fast and it seems we have so much to do, and slowly because we are still about two months out which sounds like a long time. I hope to continue to just cherish these moments of her kicking and growing up until the end (even though last night I couldn't sleep because either her elbow was pushing out on my non-existent belly button, or her foot was literally pushing on my ribs).

This week I had to do the three-hour glucose test, which was a bummer because I had to fast, drink some pretty gross sugar drink and wait in the lab for three hours. I had to do this because I failed the glucose screening, which means I could potentially have gestational diabetes. We'll know more tomorrow - I'm crossing my fingers that it was just a fluke and everything is just fine.

Here is my latest picture - I'm getting to the point where I startle myself when I walk past a mirror. I can't believe how big she is getting (about 3 pounds and about 1.5 feet long). I was just reading that she can see now, and that when I'm in a lighted area, she can see a reddish tint to her surroundings. And I guess right now she looks like she will when she is born, just a bit smaller :)
