Latest Doctor Appointment

We had our latest doctor appointment yesterday, everyone is doing well. I had to do the glucose screening - I thought it was going to be awful, but it was more like fruit punch with a whole lot of sugar mixed into it. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat, it was around 157, which is perfect. The best part was that the doctor showed Jason how to figure out which way she is laying and he got to feel her head! The doctor told him that it should feel like a coconut! I'm not so sure I want to compare our daughter's head to a coconut, but it was cool that he was able to do that. Sophia was head down, which explains the kicking to my ribs and is a good position for her to be in.

While we were there, the idea of soon becoming parents quickly soaked in - we scheduled all of our appointments for the rest of the pregnancy. Now we are going every other week, in a month we'll be going every week. And much to our amazement, we even talked with the nursing staff about a tentative induction date if Sophia decides that the home I've made for her is too nice to leave before 40 weeks! We both came away from the appointment a little stunned with how soon we'll get to meet our daughter - excited, but in a slightly overwhelmed sort of way.
