What a beautiful season Christmas is, and even more so with our Sophia. For Christmas Eve this year Sophia spent the day over at Grammy & Grandpa Skalsky's house, playing and baking with Grammy. At noon, I came over for our Christmas Eve dinner and got Sophia all dressed up in her beautiful Christmas dress! She looked adorable and beautiful. We had our lunch and then went to visit Daddy at th
e fire station. It was so much fun to see how excited all of those manly firefighters were to see Sophia all dressed up and she got glitter from her dress on everyone!
Sophia and I loved visiting Daddy and we stayed and played for a while. Then it was off to church. Sophia was ready for a big nap. Church was very crowded, but it was so much fun to hear the children's choir sing Christmas carols, they sounded like angels. I was so happy to have Grammy and Great-Grandma Skalsky come with us to church, it was a beautiful memory we will cherish. Sophia did great through the service until she got hungry at the end. Unfortunately, she started melting down right at the most quiet and sacred part of the mass, when the priest is blessing the bread and wine - her cries echoed through the halls. There was a lady (on my only way out) that was devoutly in prayer and didn't seem to notice that Sophia was very upset, so she kept on praying and we kept on crying until it was time for everyone to stand up, then we quickly got Sophia back in her car seat and off we all went. Even though it got a
little loud there a the end, we had a wonderful time, it was a beautiful time there with family and we all enjoyed the twinkly lights of Christmas on the way home to get Sophia that bottle she definitely needed :)
